2. My name is Alana Orange, and I have been caring for children for 24 years.  I cared for children of many families as a teen, and continued to provide quality care throughout the years, thereafter.  In 2005, I decided to open my own family childcare home.  I am currently working toward obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education.  I also attend many training workshops and educational conferences that keep me abreast of all current issues, recent developments, and new information in the field.

Gaining this knowledge in these ways allows me to provide care for the children with a fresh perspective, innovative techniques, and cutting edge ideas.  Although my work week goes far beyond 40 hours, I believe that God has given me gifts and talents that enable me to truly enjoy working with the children.

My husband, Brandon and I, work alongside each other.  We are the proud parents of 3 children, ages 14, 12, and 11.  In my free time, I like to read, sing, cook, and spend time with family and friends.  I like the children of Miss Alana’s Childcare to feel like they are part of the family and in their home away from home.
