DAILY SCHEDULE

Our day begins upon arrival of the first child and ends upon departure of the last child each day.  Children will be encouraged, but will never be forced to participate in any activity.  This schedule may vary based on the needs of the children.

9:00 am       Breakfast-Those children who arrive prior to 9:30 am will be served breakfast.

9:45 am       Circle Time- Children will be given an opportunity to share any news or special experiences. 

                    During this time we will sing interactive songs, such as “The ABC’s”, "Wheels on the Bus" and    

                    “Five Little Monkeys”. We will discuss the day of the week, the month, the year, and the

                    weather. One child will be chosen to mark each of the calendar components.

10:30am      Snack

10:45am      Free play. Children will choose their own games and activities.  There will be a variety

                    of toys, games, and activities available to the children geared toward enhancing their

                    growth and development. If weather permits we may go outside.

11:15am      Group Activity Time –children will participate in our morning activity.  This may involve

                    arts & crafts, science and discovery, games, puzzles, etc. Some days this will be a planned

                    activity based on our current theme or skill focus. Other days the children will be given materials

                    to work on their own creations. As we finish our activity the children will move on to free play.

11:45am      Clean up.  Toys are out away and hands are washed before lunch.

12:00pm      Lunch

12:30pm      Clean up. Children get ready for rest time.

12:45pm      Story time.

1:00 pm       Rest time. All children are given a short rest period.

1:30 pm       Nap / Quiet Play- Those children who have not fallen asleep by this time may play quietly.

                    There are books, puzzles, educational computer games and a variety of toys available for

                    quiet play.

2:30 pm       Activities include a mixture of small motor development and reading readiness.

3:00 pm       Wash hands / Afternoon snack.

3:30 pm       Circle Time- Afternoon circle time gives us a chance to say goodbye to friends. Those

                    children who were not present during the early morning are given an opportunity to

                    share any news or special experiences. During this time we sing interactive songs and

                    read a story.

   

                    Homework Time- For children who arrive for after school / evening care.

4:15 pm       Free play. Children will choose their own games and activities.  There will be a variety

                    of toys, games, and activities available to the children geared toward enhancing their

                    growth and development. If weather permits we may go outside.

4:45 pm       Clean up- Toys are put away and children wash hands in preparation for dinner time.

5:00 pm       Dinner- Children are offered a nutritious meal.

5:30 pm       Departure Time- There are a variety of toys to play with while we wait for parents to

                    pick up. We may read stories, have pretend play, sing songs, or dance during this time.

                    Toys are to be put back before the children leave for the day.

6:00 pm       Children can choose to engage in free play or watch a movie.

8:00 pm       Evening Snack

8:30 pm       Bedtime- we will transition to bedtime by brushing teeth, washing hands and face, and

                    reading a story.
